Of Menomonee Falls was born to Eternal Life on Mon. Oct. 30, 2017 at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Dr. Cyril and Carol Bodenbach; beloved husband to the love of his life June “Junie”(nee Siepmann) for 59 years. Loving father of Bonnie (Jim R.) Murphy, Janet Bodenbach, John Bodenbach and Tom (Michelle) Bodenbach. Proud grandpa of Samantha, Alexandra, and Robert Murphy; the late Kristina, and Daniel Cullen; Paul Dexter, and Seyenna Boegel; Dillon (Ariana), Kathleen, and Erin Bodenbach.  Great-grandpa of Devyn Steinle. Dex is further survived by his sisters, Patricia Woods, Elizabeth (Lawrence) Esser, and Cynthia Markiewicz; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by sisters, Jeanne Porter and Mary Bodenbach.

Dex graduated from St. Bernard Grade School and Marquette University High School. He attended Marquette University and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Dex was a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. He enjoyed golf and motorhome travel. Dex was a member of North Hills Country Club and a longtime member of St. Anthony Parish in Menomonee Falls. Most of all, he lived his life for Junie and his family.

A visitation for Dex will be held on Mon. Nov. 6, 2017 from 4 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home. A second visitation will be held on Tues. Nov. 7, from 10 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Anthony Parish, N74 W13604 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Dex’s name would be appreciated.
