Age 100. Passed away peacefully on April 11, 2017.  Eleanor was married 66 years to her beloved Raymond whom preceded her in death in 2007.  She is survived by her three children; Sue Headlee (Jeff Reiman) of Washington D.C., Mark Headlee (Iris Headlee-Jahns) of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Ann (Alan) Stannard of Menomonee Falls and by her only grandchild Justin Connell of Sussex.

Eleanor was born and raised in Indiana. She graduated with honors from Purdue University in 1939, with a Bachelor of Arts degree and then earned a Master’s Degree in History from Marquette University in the sixties.  She was a talented artist, writer, seamstress, and was active in the Milwaukee Symphony, the Girl Scouts and book clubs. Eleanor was a confident, strong woman and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, April 26th from 11:00 AM  to 1:00 PM in the Faith and Education Center at Luther Manor (4545 N 92nd St, Milwaukee, WI 53225, please use North driveway entrance).

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Luther Manor or Luther Manor Hospice appreciated.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Luther Manor Health Center and the Luther Manor Hospice Program for their loving and compassionate care.
