Holtz, JoAnn M. (nee Schroeder)

JoAnn M. Holtz passed away peacefully on September 7, 2017 at the age of 84.

Beloved wife of the late Gustav H. Holtz. Loving mother of Gustav M. (LuAnn) Holtz and Kurt (Tina) Holtz.Cherished grandmother of Erika Holtz (Joseph Plotecher), Kristina (Jason) Caira, Amanda Holtz, Karina (Kevin Oelstrom) Holtz, Marcy (Paul Schwoegler) Holtz, Gustav L. (Jaime) Holtz and Konrad Holtz, and great grandmother of Rosella, Zoey, Jorie and Bella.  Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Edna Schroeder and sister, Francy Morton. 

JoAnn was born in Minnesota on February 15th, 1933. After graduating from Monroe High School, JoAnn moved to the Milwaukee area where she lived and raised her family.  She was a lifelong member of Albright United Methodist Church where she served as an officer on many committees and dedicated herself to helping the community.  JoAnn was a loving mother, grandma, and friend. Always putting others before herself, and with a most generous heart, JoAnn touched countless lives.  She loved animals unconditionally, especially her cat, Hannah. She especially enjoyed traveling, reading, playing tennis, watching the Packers, and most of all, spending time with her family.  JoAnn will be fondly remembered and missed by many—family and friends—with whom she shared in life with and loved.  

Those who wish to make memorial donations may consider organizations close to JoAnn’s heart including Albright United Methodist Church, the Wisconsin Humane Society or the ASPCA.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 4:00pm until the funeral service at 6:30pm.
