Left us unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the age of 59. John was the faithful husband of Nancy (nee Grube) and loving father of Matthew. He was the youngest brother to the late Tom (Sue), Mike (Kathy), Patsy (John Dobroski), and Chuck (Karen) Frkovich. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

John was a dedicated and valued employee for Penzeys Spices, working in the wood shop. He was an extremely talented guitarist, currently playing solo around Waukesha County.

In his younger years, John played guitar full time in a band and traveled across the U.S. He eventually made his way back home to Wisconsin where he got a full time job as an apprentice in pattern making. At the same time, he joined a band with his brothers Mike and Chuck, and 3 friends Jerry, Phil, and Mike “Guido”. In the past 14 years John played as a solo guitarist at various jobs. In recent years he played at Marcus Majestic Cinema in Waukesha, Vino Etcetera in Oconomowoc, and Mama D’s Coffee in Wales. John’s other passions included restoring antique furniture and building his own archtop guitar, which he played.    

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13 at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of service at 3PM.
