Julianne Novotny of Wauwatosa passed away peacefully at her home on May 17, 2017, at the age of 73.
Julie was the beloved wife of Thomas Novotny for 52 years and the loving mother of Anne Novotny, Daniel (Jennifer) Novotny, Beth (Michael) Voet, Joseph (Kimberly) Novotny, Andrew (Shannon) Novotny. She was the cherished grandmother of Tim, Merrell, Christopher, Talishsa, Maya, Sarah, Megan, Abby, Tommy, T.J., Justin, Jake, Luke, Matt, Katie, Nick, Zach, John, Grace, Jack, Will, Ellie, Michael, and Sam, and dear great-grandmother of Jordyn and Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Rose Soener; mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Rose Novotny; sisters-in-law, Joan Verfurth, Nancy Romens, and Rose Voelz; and brothers-in-law, Carroll Romens and Jerome Morse. She is survived by brothers-in-law, Daryl Verfurth and Robert Voelz and sister-in-law, Margaret Morse.

Julie’s gentle touch and genuine kindness was felt by everyone who knew her. She was always quick with a smile and a shoulder to lean on. Her strong faith in God was the foundation of her family. She shared her faith and her love of God with so many as a Catholic Chaplain. She loved spending her days out in the garden, and her nights in the stands at all her grandchildren’s sporting events. Spending summertime up north at the cabin with family and friends made it her favorite time of year. Her love and kindness will never be forgotten, and will always live on through her ever-growing family.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 3PM until 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church (12130 W Center St.- Wauwatosa) on Tuesday, May, 23, 2017 at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to Marquette University High School, Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, or St. Coletta Day School of Milwaukee.
