Bette,
It has become such a privilege to get to know both you and Ken. I am so very grateful that it was such a short time ago I got a chance to visit with him and reminisce about your courtship, your wedding, his red-haired handsomeness, raising your children, his employment, his hobbies and his grandchildren. Ken was a very intelligent guy, with a wry little sense of humor, patriotic values and whose life gave meaning to the phrase, "the Greatest Generation". He was a dear and will be missed by those of us who were lucky enough to know him. I'm genuinely sorry for your having to endure such a great loss.

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of this kind and pleasant man. My heart is in sympathy with each of you that mourn him, and especially with you, Ken, because the bond you had with your Dad was evident to all who knew you. If I weren't out of state, I'd be there in person, so know that I am thinking of you all and praying for you. Betty, I am sending you a heartfelt hug. May God's love and the nearness of friends be comfort to you.
