(née Richards), 67, of Brookfield, WI passed away surrounded by family December 8, 2017 from interstitial lung disease.   Lynn was born near Detroit, MI on August 2, 1950 to Elaine Ann Richards and William Russell Richards, who both predeceased her.  Lynn spent her childhood years growing up in the Detroit Area, Arlington Heights, IL and Minneapolis / St. Paul MN.  She attended Saint Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN where she met the love of her life, Greg Savage, who became her husband of 46 years.

Lynn and Greg made a beautiful life together raising three lovely children and made countless enduring friendships in their many places of residence including MN, NJ, CA and WI.  Everyplace they lived Lynn was dedicated to many charitable works, finding her greatest joy serving others in any number of functions relating to her children’s education and extracurricular activities.  In addition to Lynn’s charitable activities, she still found plenty of time for driveway cocktail hours, woman’s card groups and moms’ nights out; Lynn’s cheerful social nature was always a magnet to gather people for a good time.  Lynn and Greg chose to retire in Brookfield, WI in order to be close to their three grandchildren.  Lynn’s smile was never brighter than when she spent time with her Sophia, Mackenzie and Tyler who affectionately called her “Nanny”.  Lynn was looking forward to loving and spoiling her newest granddaughter, Lucy, who is expected to be born in January.

Lynn is survived by her best friend and husband Greg; children: Kelly (David) Frank, Chris (Jie) Savage, and Megan (Matt) Shirey.  Grandchildren: Sophia, Mackenzie, Tyler Frank, and Lucy Shirey.  Siblings: Bill Richards, Cathy (Dennis) Hester, Karen Christenson, Michael (Julie) Richards, Barbara (Jim) Mahoney, Patrick Richards and Craig (Meghan) Richards.

A visitation and memorial service will be held at Becker Ritter Funeral Home, 14075 West North Ave, Elm Grove, WI on Friday December 15, 2017. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the time of service at 3:00PM. A reception will follow immediately at Western Racquet Club at 1800 Highland Dr., Elm Grove, WI.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Lynn’s memory be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin.
