Marion Mae Rindt

August 27, 1923 ~ December 6, 2017 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Marion Mae Rindt (nee Frantz) passed away peacefully on the afternoon of December 6th, 2017 at the age of 94.

She was born on August 27th, 1923 to Benjamin and Mildred (nee Radtke) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was the eldest of three children.  Kenneth Frantz and Jean Utter predeceased her, along with her parents.

Marion grew up in Wauwatosa and graduated from Wauwatosa East High School.  After high school, she was employed by Northwestern National Life Insurance Company in downtown Milwaukee.  On August 10th, 1944, Marion married Milton Rindt. They began their life journey together while Milton was in the service, and after the war, they returned home to Milwaukee to begin their family - Kathy (1946), Lynda (1950) and John (1955). They moved to Brookfield, but spent many summers in the north woods of Wisconsin where they realized their dream and purchased a summer home on Arbutus Lake in Pickerel, Wisconsin in 1970. After retirement, they split their year between the cottage and Destin, FL, where friendships were cultivated and enjoyed for many years to come.  In 1997, they moved back to Brookfield to be closer to family and a multitude of friends.

Marion was a past president of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a wonderful bridge player, and fabulous cook.  She was a serious fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers.  Marion had an infectious laugh, was full of fun - always ready to socialize.  Never one to sit back, she loved to be on the go - constantly.

Marion suffered many health challenges through the last years of her life, but they were met with a positive attitude, she would never give up.  She was courageous until the end.  She was a survivor.

Marion was also predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Milton Rindt, who passed away on March 25th, 2017.  She leaves her three children - Kathy Ladavac (Bob) of Indianapolis, IN; Lynda Majewski (Joseph) of Burlington, WI; and John Rindt (Katie) of El Paso, TX.  She is also survived by her grandchildren - Christopher Housefield of Yorkville, IL; Joey Majewski (Kim) of Traverse City, MI; Mark Majewski (Jodi) of Libertyville, IL; JP Rindt (Leigh) of Dallas, TX and Matthew Rindt (Dee) also of Dallas, TX.  She and Milton were the proud great grandparents of seven great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank their devoted caregiver, Mary Evans, for her help and love throughout the years. Our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to Steve Frantz, whose love and faithfulness to Mother and Dad will never be forgotten. The family also wishes to acknowledge the kindness and compassion afforded them throughout the last four plus years they resided at the Brookfield Regency Assisted Living facility.  They had special relationships with many, however, several remained close to them for those years - Tanya, Holly, Donna, Jackie, Nancy.  They enjoyed the friendship of Margaret, Steve, Les (the bus driver) and Robert.
