Mary W. (Doyle) Kurz

On Friday, December 29, 2017, Mary Winifred Kurz, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, entered into Eternal Life at the age of 82 years.
Born in Milwaukee May 22, 1935, Mary spent her youth in Milwaukee, Waukesha and Colgate, WI, graduating from Harford High School in 1953. After graduation, Mary attended nursing school in Atlanta, GA and upon graduation she returned to the Milwaukee area and worked in the nursing profession until retirement in 1995, taking a break mid-career to raise six boys. Mary’s warm smile, clever wit and sense of humor, genuine loving concern for all those around her will be fondly treasured by family and friends alike. Piously devoted to her Catholic faith, Mary dedicated herself to Eucharistic Adoration every Friday morning from 2:00 – 3:00 AM for over 20 years, held the role of Cooperator in Opus Dei, shared her deep Marion devotion encouraging others to pray the Rosary, and lived her Faith every day of her life.
Mary will forever be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Henry, and their six sons: Henry (Bonnie), Phillip (Misao), Peter (Lori), Fr. Andrew, Joseph (Ana Cecilia), and Thomas (Jessica); in addition to twelve grandchildren Katie (Ricardo), Julia, Melissa, Christina, Noah, Peter, Christina, Natalia, Samuel, Thomas Henry, Elise, Raphael, an expected grandchild and great grandchild in 2018; along with her sister Patsy, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Mary joins in eternal life her parents, Raymond and Hazel Doyle, her brother Raymond, and grandson Joshua Kurz.
Visitation will be held at Becker Ritter Funeral Home, 14075 W North Ave., Brookfield, WI 53005, Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a rosary prayer service to begin at 6:30 P.M.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Visitation Parish, 1260 Church St., Elm Grove, with Fr. Andrew Kurz and Fr. Peter Berger, presiding.
