Nancy Jane (Flancher) Schaff

Nancy Jane (Flancher) Schaff found eternal peace on March 13, 2024. Born on November 3, 1944 to Harvey and Kathryn Flancher. Nancy lived a vibrant life and was always on the go. She shared her journey with her husband, Richard. Together they ran Schaff Marketing Group, an advertising agency where they fostered lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and friends over two decades.

Nancy approached life with boundless energy. She was a true animal lover and gardener. Nancy found joy in riding her horses and was an active presence in the golden retriever community. Her love for goldens was evident in everything she did, as they were constant companions on her journey. She often took them to visit area nursing homes. Nancy's creative spirit shone through her artwork in watercolors, showcasing her talent and passion. Additionally, she excelled as a skilled seamstress and combined her love for dogs and her seamstress skills by running Dogs & Their People where she made custom dog coats for dogs of all sizes. She was also an excellent quilter and leather smith crafting beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her loved ones.

Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and talent to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Richard Schaff and son Timothy Stalbaum. She is survived by her daughters Dawn (Steve) Young and Kim (Mike) Wolak, along with grandchildren Kim (Ben) Lueck, (great granddaughter Ellen) and Kathryn Stalbaum along with Richard’s daughter, Sara (Peter) Ritchie, and their children Aidan & Connor Ritchie, and her sister Shirley Degner.

A celebration honoring Nancy's life will take place at Becker Ritter Funeral Home on April 1, 2024, from 3 PM – 5PM followed by a memorial service at 5PM. In accordance with her wishes, Nancy will be laid to rest in a private burial at Rochester Cemetery alongside her husband Richard.
