Dick “Ike” Eisenhauer passed away peacefully on September 18, 2017 at the age of 84, surrounded by family and loved ones. Dick served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1952 - 1955. He was an active and giving member of St. Bernard’s Parish, giving his time to committee work, fundraisers, Bradley Center concessions, ushering and greeting. Dick was also the President of the St. Bernard’s Chapter of St. Vincent De Paul Society, and also gave his time and money to many other charities including St. Ben’s. His first career was as a US Post Office Letter Carrier in Wauwatosa, and after retirement he worked a second career at Tri-City National Bank’s service center, where he made many new friends. In 2007, Dick was honored to receive the Green Bay Packer “Fan of the Year” Award. He is recognized in the Packer Hall of Fame. Dick “Ike” Eisenhauer was a loving, jovial and giving man. He offered his service and kindness to so many people and in return was loved by many.
Dick is survived by his wife Alice (nee Koller) of 61 years; his children Dennis, Paul “Ike” (Julie), Cindy (Alan), Edward (Madi), Beth (Gary), Donald (Julie), Teri, Ginger (Tim), and Cathy (Shari); his grandchildren Jessica, Cheryl, Chimine, Katie, Jim, Edward, and Olivia, and great grandchildren Tristan, Madeline, and Camden. He is also survived by his sisters Judy Monday (John) and Mary Dreger (Don), and by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Fay and his brother Jim.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, September 22nd from 4 to 7 PM. Eulogies will begin at 10:45 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Bernard Parish, Wauwatosa (7474 Harwood Ave) on Saturday, September 23 at 11 AM. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Bernard’s Parish or St. Vincent DePaul Society appreciated.
