Passed away peacefully on August 4th, 2017 at the age of 97. Beloved husband of the late Vernell L. Jones. Dear father of the late Pamela (Ron) Ensweiler and William D. (Judeline) Jones. Proud grandfather of David W. Jones. Brother of Harriet (the late John) Novak. Uncle of Jay (Jennifer) and Guy (Carol) Novak. Predeceased by his parents Alice and Dewitt Jones. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Mr. Jones was a WWII veteran; he served his country honorably in CBI as a command pilot 1st Lt. He also had time in C-47, C-87, B-25 and B-24 aircraft. Awards include: AAF Air crew member badge (wings) pilot, A-P theater ribbon with 2 bronze battle stars, victory medal and 2 overseas bars.

William and his wife, Vernell, were two more of the greatest generation.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 19th from 1 to 4 PM. Committal services will be held at So. WI Veterans memorial cemetery at 2 PM on Thursday, August 24th.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veterans Home at Union Grove.
