Hi, I just found out today of the passing of Bill. I was his hygienist for 30 years at St. Francis dental. We became great friends and I loved hearing about his family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren! A Very successful bunch from what I understand! I learned a lot about life from him and will always cherish the things he taught me in what little time we shared during our six month check ups. The memories you shared in the memorial are heartwarming. Your family was lucky to have him. He will be greatly missed!

Thank you to EVERYONE who attended the ‘FOREVER YOUNG’ celebration for Dad, Pops, Gramps, Garr or Wild Bill. We appreciated all the wonderful stories down memory lane. Tears which were shed were of happy, not sad thoughts. The outpouring of support from all will never be forgotten. Dad enjoyed life and is now reunited with the best celebration of all, his lovely wife, Nancy and his many many family members and friends. Dad, Pops, Gramps, Garr or Wild Bill....we will miss you terribly but your spirit and passions will guide us all towards the path of your dreams. Until, we meet again. Love Yous 😘

It was such a lovely service. I have never been to one like it. It was so special being able to see his things, silly shoes, wedding photos, year book photos (hello, what a handsome guy!), and momentos. I remember his Miami jacket... I think he would wear it around for me (my hometown) hehe. My parents had me a little later in life (dad born 1934 and mom 1944), so I grew up on musicals and oldies. I always felt like I was from another time and will miss hearing Bill blaring big band music from his garage on the weekends. I never had the opportunity to meet my grandfathers, so perhaps Bill was a little bit of that for me. I will miss sitting with him on his bench hearing about how "lucky" we are to live on such a beautiful lot, watching him feed the chipmunks, and hearing him complain about that tree that Nancy built the house around...the one he'd like to take down, but was always scared she'd "send a lightning bolt!" We love him and will always remember him fondly.

Elaine,
What beautiful thoughts. We could see the sadness in your eyes, and knew you and our Dad had a strong connection. We are glad you were there to "watch over him", and let us know if he was trying to climb the ladder up onto his roof to blow the leaves. He will be greatly missed by many, and his impact will remain further reaching than we will ever know. Take care! Of course, we will keep in touch.

Dear Pam, Tom and Members of Family,

Regret that I'd not to able to join you in person today for the celebration of Uncle Luedke's well lived life, but my heart and spirit will be with you as we remember him today and for the days to come.

Uncle Luedke was a special friend to my Dad, Eddie Quan, my Mom Kam, my brother Bill, my sister Helen and myself. In the Quan's household, "talking things over with Uncle Luedke" was a well-heed advice which applied to personal issue, maintenance of a house, as well as business matter relating to the operation of a restaurant.

Uncle Luedke's humor, positive attitude and loving kindness is inspirational to us all. The twinkle in his eyes as he talked and smiled will forever seared into our memory.

Thank you so much, Mary. We know that my DAD had such a special connection with your entire family. He took pride in doing whatever he could do to help his most special friend Eddy. Your dad made an important impact on our dad's life, and we will value that, always.

So sincerely,

Pam Kania and family

The world is not as good, kind and gentle without Bill in it. He was a true gentleman and a pleasure to be around. We'll miss him at the lunches and breakfasts but nowhere near as much as you, the family will miss him. So sorry for your (our) loss. My sincerest condolences.

Thank you so much for your sweet email. Yes, it seems that my dad had many, many friends. We know he will be missed by all. He enjoyed his breakfasts with "the Ladish guys" so very much. Please enjoy some corned beef hash in his honor.

Pam
