She passed away on Monday after a long-fought battle with COPD, with loving family at her side. Beloved sister of Mary (Dan) Kondracki and Lynn (Dick) Daoust. Barbie started her career at Deaconess hospital in labor and delivery, went back to school, and became a legal secretary. She enjoyed working in the garden, listening to classical music, collecting bunnies, traveling and loved reminiscing about her trip to Thailand. After retiring, she moved to Waukesha to be closer to family, which was always important to her. She cared for her mother Frances until her passing.
Barbie was a long-time member of St. William Catholic Church, spending countless hours baking for the bake sales and serving as a Eucharistic minister for many years. She also quilted over 100 lap robes which she donated to local nursing homes.
