Bernice Mary (Grzesiak) Del Vecchio

Bernice Mary Del Vecchio (Grzesiak) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22nd in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin at the age of 98. Loving mother of daughter Anna Marie (Nimphius), Bernice was predeceased by her husband Anthony (Tony) and daughter Mary Catherine (Meyer). She was a devoted grandmother to Eric, Lauren, and Bryan (Nimphius) and Anthony, Marysa, and Carolyn (Meyer). Bernice was born April 22, 1922 in Ironwood Michigan to Joseph and Anna Grzesiak. She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Wilfred, Bernard and John, and sisters Helen and Leona. She is survived by sister Lorraine (Luczak).

She spent her early career in Washington DC working for the VA hospital. In 1958 she moved to Milwaukee. In 1960 she met Tony and they started a family. She retired from the VA in 1986. In 2011 she moved to Hart Park Square in Wauwatosa where she continued to be an active part of their senior community.

Bernice’s love for her family and her abundant enthusiasm will be remembered by all that knew her during her 98 years on God’s earth. The family bonds and dear friendships she built will be with her and with us forever.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM at St. Therese church, 9525 W. Bluemound Rd, Milwaukee, on Monday, July 27, 2020. A procession to Wisconsin Memorial Park will follow immediately after mass. Mass is limited to 50 persons maximum and masks are required.
