Charlotte "Peg" Sharpless, of Brookfield, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the age of 93. She is reunited in Heaven with her husband of 68 years, Richard Sharpless.
After graduating from Bloomsburg College in 1948, she began her teaching career in a high school and finished her career as an Assistant Professor at Mt. Mary College. She spent her retirement years volunteering for several organizations and performing with the Fun Luv’n Grannies of Brookfield, sharing laughter and foot tapping old time music with appreciative audiences in SE Wisconsin.
Peg will be sorely missed by her son, Dr. Philip (Beth) Sharpless; granddaughters, Alison and Katherine, and many nieces and nephews. Peg was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.
A visitation for Peg will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Becker Ritter Funeral Home from 9:30AM until the 11AM Memorial Service. A private burial of the cremains will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Peg’s name to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation (www.alzinfo.org) or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
