Colleen Clancy

(nee Mahrt)

Died peacefully and joined her beloved husband Donald on November 2, 2017 at the age of 89. Colleen was born to George and Lorena Mahrt in Peoria, IL on February 19, 1928.

Colleen was the loving mother of Mike (Marcia) Clancy, Mary Clancy, Pat (Julie) Clancy, Kathy (Jeff) Phelps, Sue (Jim) Sheperd and Bob (Janet) Clancy; Cherished grandmother to Tim (Genevieve) Clancy, Emilie Clancy, Erin (Andy) Waldron, Jill (Nicholas) Bathke, Laura Phelps, Sam (Melissa) Phelps, Jonathan (Ashley) Sheperd, Elizabeth (Kyle) Phillips, Benjamin Sheperd, Connor and Sutton Clancy; Proud and special GiGi to Harper, Finnegan, Harrison, Vivenne, Alex, Josh, Harriet, Charlie, Penelope and Matilda. Colleen will always be remembered by many relatives and friends.

She worked from home her entire life to raise six caring, compassionate and thoughtful children. Their home was always filled with love, laughter, good food and drink. Colleen was most happy when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She believed there should always be Chex mix to snack on and bowls of candy for the kids. Colleen was a woman of great faith and prayed her rosary daily.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 9:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1755 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield, WI 53005.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association of Wisconsin, 1555 N Rivercenter Dr #211, Milwaukee, WI 53212 or the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin, 10909 W Greenfield Ave #201, West Allis, WI 53214.
