Coralee Catherine "Cathy" Steele

Coralee Catherine (Cathy) Steele passed away at her home on September 17, 2019 at the age of 87. Beloved and caring wife of Dr. Gerald L. Steele of 63 years.  Loving and devoted Mother of two; daughter Ann (Bruce) Harmon, son Jerry Steele. Proud Grandmother of three; Shannon, Bridget and Jerry Steele. Joining her sisters Jeanne and Peggy. She is further survived by many relatives and very good friends.

Cathy was born in Cascade Iowa, moved to Iowa City where she would go on to graduate from the University of Iowa. After college Cathy moved to New York City where she spent two years as a stewardess with United Airlines. After that she moved to Chicago where she taught school and met Jerry. Cathy and Jerry would spend 50+ years in Elm Grove.  Cathy was active in the community including: St Mary’s Visitation Parish, School Sisters of Notre Dame. She was loved and respected for positive attitude, love of life and her dedication to her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 at St. Mary’s Visitation Parish, 1260 Church St., Elm Grove, WI. A private family burial will be held.
