Don Edward Morton

Was called home to the Lord on March 24, 2021 at the age of 89. Loving husband of the late Mary Ellen (Nee Hamm) for 55 years. He will be dearly missed by his children, Jean (Michael) Ignatiev, Janice (Michael) Crain, Jeffrey (Anne) Morton, and Jacquelyn Ackland, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and his sister Jane Catey. Preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Jack Morton and sister Mary Treutler.

A Celebration of Don’s life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Community United Methodist Church of Elm Grove ~ Music Fund or Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin.

Don proudly served in the US Navy, attended the Navy School of Music, and Michigan State University and was a Mechanical Engineer, and a dedicated member of the Community United Methodist Church of Elm Grove. Private interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a passionate musician, avid boater, and a talented engineer; he used his sense of humor and endless good cheer to bring happiness to others.
