Donald Petersen

Don went to greet his Lord and Savior on September 5, 2019 at the age of 90.

He was born in Duluth, Minnesota in 1929.  Don was the loving husband of Carolynn for 56 years and caring dad of Linda (Patrick) Szolyga.  He was the devoted grandpa of Lauren and Abby.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Elsie Petersen and brothers Howard, Robert, and Willard.  His younger sister, Shirley, of Duluth, survives him.

He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota - Duluth.  Don taught business and economics for the Milwaukee School Board at Washington and Hamilton high schools for 30 years.

Don was a veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, runner and bicyclist.

Services for Don will take place on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Brookfield Christian Reformed Church (14135 W Burleigh Rd, Brookfield). A visitation for family and friends will occur from 9:00am until 10:45am, with a service to follow at 11:00am. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Brookfield Christian Reformed Church are appreciated.
