Loving husband of Radyne Stane; devoted father of Donna (Tom), John (Margaret), and Julie (Scott); and special and loving grandpa of Nicholas, Helena, Mia, Joshua, and Audrey; dear brother of Carol (the late Pasquale), Jean (Michael) and Robert. Further survived by brothers and sister in law James and Patricia Vagena and John “Jack” (the late Ginger) Walsh; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Don joins his parents Alex and Florence Stane and granddaughter Lauren in Heaven.
He was born on April 17, 1938 in Chicago. He graduated from Chicago’s Teacher College and worked as a sales engineer for Mobil Oil until his retirement in 1998.
Don enjoyed flying, fishing, woodworking, gardening, travelling, golfing, reading, painting, stained glass making, building, and anything else he put his mind to.
Above all, however, Don most enjoyed being Grandpa.
