Dr. Michael C. Mather, MD

January 31, 1957 – November 25, 2017. Preceded in death by his Father, Joseph Mather, his Mother, Sylvia Mather and his brother Bill Mather.

Survived by his partner Frank McRae, his daughters Stephanie Mather (Bruce Fojut), Melissa Burge (Chris Burge), his grandchildren McKenzee, Wesley, Kelsey and Rhys, his sisters, Sue Berner and Patricia Wikel, his brother Bob Mather, and his ex-wife Tracy Hulen, Dr. Mather began his career in medicine studying at the Medical College of Wisconsin and graduating in the top of his class. He became Chief Resident at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center and began working for Aurora Medical Group in the fields of Urgent Care and Occupational Health. He quickly became a Medical Director for Aurora and served on its’ Management Committee and as a Physician Champion. He will be remembered for his medical skills, the compassion and care he gave to his patients and co-workers.  He was a warm, generous man who cared a great deal for his family and celebrating the holidays and birthdays, most especially Christmas. He will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, December 2, 2017, with visitation from 1:30 PM until the time of service at 2:30 PM, followed by a reception at the Funeral Home at 3 PM.
