Elizabeth "Libby" Gonzales

Libby Gonzales (nee Blank) passed away peacefully on December 30, 2022, at the age of 64, in Wauwatosa, WI.

Libby is survived by her two children, Stacy and Michael, two grandsons, Nicholas and Abel, three siblings, Peter, David and Meg, father, Jack and Walter, her treasured Pembrooke-Welsh Corgi.

Born in a small town in Pennsylvania - Libby barely got her feet wet and was whisked off to São Paulo, Brasil where she spent her first 14 years - an incredible city that the entire family enjoyed and cherished.  Her love for volleyball, swimming and track quickly become noteworthy with her athleticism.

Wisconsin jumped into the picture when the Blank’s were re-located from Brasil to Brookfield, WI.  This is where Libby went to High School - Brookfield Central.  Libby continued her love of sports through High School and then off to University of Wisconsin - Lacrosse.  Ultimately ended up with an Associates Degree in Police Science from Waukesha Technical College.

Married to Nicholas Gonzales and had two children, Stacy and Michael.  Nicholas passed many years ago and Libby, until death, was a single parent.

Libby was a Workers Compensation Claims Analyst - and loved the challenges and decisions that went with the job.

Libby’s sense of humor, facile a vivre attitude and lovable demeanor will be greatly missed - Libby is re-united with her beloved mother, Margaret “Peg” Blank.

A private family service will take place at Becker Ritter Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to HAWS - The Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha would be greatly appreciated.
