Erich Paul Manion

Erich P. Manion passed into eternal life on November 12, 2022, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 29.

Born on November 5, 1993, in Henderson, Nevada, Erich attended grade school in Henderson and graduated in 2012 from Clackamas High School in Clackamas, Oregon, where he played varsity football his senior year.

He headed to California for college, where he pursued studies to work in the sports and fitness fields. He attended Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, CA, and went on to Butte College in Oroville, CA, where he was on the football team. He really enjoyed the rural setting at Butte.

Football was a passion for Erich, especially his favorite teams the Green Bay Packers and Oregon Ducks. Sports, fitness and body building were central in his life and kept him going. He was always ready for a pickup game of basketball or football. He loved working out and was right at home in any gym. Erich loved animals and had a soft spot for the family pets. He was a very warm-hearted person who enjoyed socializing. 

Erich had many burdens that made his life a daily struggle. Every day, he faced life with tremendous courage. He will live in our hearts forever. Our love for him will be eternal.

Survivors include:  his father Paul Manion in Henderson, NV; mother Elisabeth Manion (Kenny Yates) in Clackamas, OR; and grandparents Clifford and Judith Allen in Clackamas.

Further survived by aunt Kathrine Karn and uncle David Allen in Clackamas; aunt Teresa Manion (Michael Sauer) and aunt Mary Manion in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and dear cousins.

Predeceased by grandparents Jean Patrick Manion and Huetta Heus Manion in Milwaukee.

When asked, Erich always wanted others to know he was Catholic. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, at 10:30 am at Christ King Parish in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
