Of Delafield, Erick was reunited with his loving wife; Dorothy on Wed. Nov. 29, 2017 at the age of 75. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, member of the Army Corp. of Engineers. Erick enjoyed hunting, tinkering, and driving tractors at farmer Dave’s. He was an avid sports fan and a great conversationalist. Most of all he loved his family and beloved dog, Maggie.

He is survived by his children, Lisa (Ken) Sodemann and Jon (Kristine Karrels) Buerger; grandchildren,  Ashley, Hunter and Alexandria "Lexy"; step grandchildren, Josh (Becky) and Matt Karrels;  sister,  Linda (Robert) Long; sisters-in-law, Joanne Behling and Carleen (Al) Zaremba; other relatives and many friends. Erick was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Dorothy. 

A visitation will be held on Sat., Dec. 9, 2017 at Christ the King Lutheran Church (1600 N. Genesee St., Delafield) from 10:00 AM until a memorial service at 11:00 AM.  Memorials in Erick’s name to Ruffed Grouse Society, 451 McCormick Rd., Coraopolis PA  15108, would be appreciated .
