Fr. Robert K. McIntosh, S.J.

Fr. McIntosh was a Jesuit who had been a member of the former Wisconsin Province of the Society of Jesus but was missioned to Korea in 1966 and worked there until his death. He died while visiting family in Milwaukee on November 24, 2018.  He was 78 years old and a Jesuit for 59 years.

He was born on July 11, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI where he later attended Cathedral High School.  Fr. McIntosh entered the Society of Jesus on September 3, 1959 and was ordained at Gesu Church in Milwaukee on June 8, 1972. 

Predeceased by his parents, Virginia and Ken McIntosh; three siblings: Pat (Ray) Kruszka, Nora Weber, Terry McIntosh; two brothers in law:  Arno Kress and Ken Beres. He is survived by eight siblings:  Mary Lou Kress, Jim (Kathryn) McIntosh, Kathleen Spataro, Brian Weber (brother in law), Neil McIntosh and Kathy Muehlbauer, John (Teri) McIntosh, Marge Beres, Jean (Rory) Shepherd as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews plus many friends  and Jesuits both in the United States and Korea.

Visitation will be held at Gesu Church (1145 W Wisconsin Ave) on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 5:00pm until the time of Funeral Mass at 7:00pm.  Burial to be held in Korea.   

Memorials will go to the Korean Province of the Society of Jesus. Checks should be made out to the Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus and sent to the Midwest Province, 1010 N. Hooker, Chicago, IL  60642 with a notation:  “In Memory of Fr. Robert McIntosh, S.J."
