To the Croak family:
Fran was one of the brightest persons I ever knew. We often shared stories about our time in Korea, only mine was of an Infantry private possessing a carbine on frontline guard duty. His passion for sports of every variety placed him in a special category and his contributions were unparalleled. He always seemed to have the right answer to any question I asked of him. He certainly will be missed, especially by me. He always brightened the scene whenever he was present with his words of wisdom. See ya on the next tee.

My deepest condolences to Fran's family and friends. As a young lawyer Fran helped me, not only as a mentor but also as a stellar example of the legal profession. His integrity and ethics and scholarship can be emulated by all in our profession. He leaves a legacy for lawyers and advocates to emulate. Again, my thoughts and prayers to each of you.
