American Veteran 04

Frank Joseph Haubner, Jr.

November 18, 1943 ~ February 15, 2021 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Tribute

Frank, our dear Captain, peacefully sailed off on his final voyage February 15th, 2021 at age 77. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 18th, 1943, Frank was a loving and helpful child, an entrepreneur from young age, he proudly held paper routes & ice cream routes on his bicycle, and served as Altar Boy at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Milwaukee. He graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in 1961. He served in the US Navy as radarman, aboard the USS Independence from 1962-1964. 2nd only to his family, this was Frank’s proudest life accomplishment. Patriotism was at his very core, Veteran’s Day always meant so much more to him than his own birthday.

Frank was most proud of the family he built, he loved them all dearly. He truly found such joy in their happiness, and instilled in them strength, pride, class, and love. He cherished each of his 6 grandsons, loved on them and proudly spoiled them as much as he could. Alongside his wife, he was a devoted foster parent for over 25 years, providing a loving home for over 70 foster children.

Frank was a dedicated business man. He began with Kohl’s food stores bagging groceries, and  rightfully earned his way to the very top as President of the company. He worked hard and proudly to provide his family the life he knew they deserved.

Frank shared many great joys with family & friends throughout his life- Packer fan, Corvette owner, humor and laughter provider, grand story teller, elephant admirer, and his knowledge of US Presidents and historic persons in US history. A favorite happy place was aboard his boat, especially when hosting family & friends.

Frank’s greatest love, loyalty, and happiest of happy places, was his beloved wife. Frank & Carole had a love story like no other, married over 44 years. They are a pure example of true love, unconditional love. He adored her and lived for her.

He took pride in all he did, carried himself with class, and always balanced it with humor. He loved sharing his passions and knowledge with others.

Greeted in Heaven by his parents, Frank Sr. and Ann, and his dear Uncle Al.

Survived by his loving wife Carole; children Michael, Cynthia (Dan), Jennifer (Gary), Matthew, Gabrielle (Jason), Anthony, and Brittany; dear grandsons Colin, Brody, Chase, Cash, Reece, and Ashton; sister Sandy (John) and brother John (Colleen), many loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, his dear Aunt Ruth, and countless extended family.
