Frieda Lucille (McKinney) Griffin

Passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the age of 90. Devoted wife of the late John A. “Jack” Griffin. Cherished mother of Kathryn (the late Tim) Claggett of Lexington, KY and John (Terri) Griffin of LaGrange, KY. Beloved grandmother of Thomas Claggett, Kerry (Cory) Everhart, Samuel Claggett, Joseph Claggett, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Griffin Renner, and Sarah Griffin. Great grandmother of Carsyn Lerza. Sister of Delores Tommie, Nancy Clay, Frances McKinney, and G.C. McKinney. Preceded in death by her parents Ivan and Chalma McKinney, brother Richard Guzman, and sister Dottie Wendt. She will also be remembered by a host of other relatives and friends.

Frieda was born in Chicago, IL and was raised in Adair County KY. After Jack’s retirement they loved spending time traveling. She was a member of the P.E.O. Sorority. She loved to volunteer and play bridge with her friends.

Visitation at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 4-7PM. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 10AM at St. Mary’s Visitation Church, 1260 Church Street, Elm Grove, WI. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Lexington, KY. Memorials to The American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, or the Wounded Warrior’s would be appreciated.
