Born to eternal life unexpectantly on June 10, 2022 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Katherine (Nee Mader) for nearly 65 years. Loving father of George (Kathleen) Schober, Jr. and Jeffry (Jean) Schober. Grandpa of Amy (Joshua) Caldwell, Samantha (fiancé Robert Swafford) Vitale, Jacob Schober, and LeeAnn Schober. Great grandpa of Clara Caldwell. Also loved by other relatives and friends.

Visitation at San Camillo Chapel, 10200 W. Bluemound Road, Wauwatosa, WI 53226 on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 1PM-2PM. Mass of Christian Burial at 2PM. Private burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.

George enjoyed attending community events and festivals with his wife Katherine. They especially enjoyed dancing at the many German American festivals, including Octoberfest at the Bavarian Inn where his parents were long time members. He was a lifelong member of Saint Joseph’s Benevolent Society and over 50 years at Saint Mary’s church Elm Grove. He enjoyed traveling with his family and later years with Katherine to Europe, Hawaii and Canada. George retired in 1990 from Milwaukee County after working 31 years in Human Resources.
