George F. Schroeder
Arlington Heights, IL
George Frederick Schroeder found peace on June 11, 2020 at the age of 43. He was born February 26, 1977, in Brookfield, WI, to George and Karen Schroeder.
George was raised in Brookfield, WI, where he attended St. John Vianney Parish School, Marquette University High School and Marquette University.
At a young age he learned the construction trades working alongside his father and grandfather in the family business, Schroeder Bros. Construction. George loved going to the job sites with his Dad. George also loved to give back to his faith and community; he was proud to serve for many years with the Knights of Columbus (Councils 4483 and 4240) as a 4th Degree Knight and former Deputy Grand Knight.
George was the proud father of George William and Audrey Rose; cherished son to Karen and the late George J. Schroeder; beloved brother to Jennifer (Scott) Robertson, Cindy (Jamie) Purko, Joan (Bob) McElyea; fun-loving uncle to Alison, Gabbi, Elyse, Natalie, Charlie, Megan, Alexandra and Sylvia; adored partner to the love of his life, Andrea Reece; treasured friend to Madelyn and Michael Reece; and further survived by many friends and family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents George F. and Annastasia Schroeder and Robert and Florence Olson.
George will be remembered for his strong faith, kind heart, contagious laugh, and deep love for his family. He always had a “dad joke” ready, and the bigger the fireworks the better. He was the life of the party, who loved bringing friends and family together for a fish fry or grilling while cheering on the Packers. George had a passion for year-round fishing and found joy in teaching his children, nieces, and nephew the finer points of the sport. Above all, his favorite pastime was playing chess with his son, George, and dancing with his daughter, Audrey.
George touched the lives of everyone who met him. He will be missed dearly.
