Gloria Reyes, 92, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, after a long ill-ness. Gloria was born on September 22, 1930, to Juan and Otilia Reyes and Juan Maldonado in Naguabo, Puerto Rico. After Gloria graduated magna cum laude from University of Puerto Rico, she pursued a Master of Arts (magna cum laude) in Spanish literature. After graduating with a Master of Arts degree in Spanish Literature, Gloria taught high school Spanish for 40 years. In 1952, Gloria met Roberto Resto-Figueroa at Naguabo, Puerto Rico. Gloria and Roberto went on to have two children: Evelyn and Madeline. After retiring, Gloria spent her time reading and writing about her favorite authors from El Siglo de Oro, especially Francisco de Quevedo, whose work thoroughly enjoyed. Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Roberto. Gloria is survived by Evelyn, Madeline, Roberto, and Eduardo.
