Henry "Ed" Drexler

Was reunited in Heaven with his wife, Shirley, on March 13, 2023 at the age of 96. Loving dad of Laura (David Dreis), the late Dan, Mary Jo (Bill) Ehrke and Tom. Caring grandpa of Leah, Joe, Anna, Kasey, and Cal. Great-grandpa of Malcom, Nina, Hayden, Izzy, Renan, Brooke and McKenzie. Dear brother of Joyce Haen and the late Shirley Waligorski. Ed will be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.

Ed was a long standing figure at Pius XI Catholic High school for over 66 years. He was a teacher for many of those years but also acted as Vice Principal and Principal for a portion of his career. Ed was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and later earned his Master’s Degree from Ohio State. Ed proudly served the Navy in World War II and he was a faithful parishioner of Gesu Parish.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday March 25, 2023 at Gesu Parish, 1145 W Wisconsin Ave. Milwaukee WI 53233, from 10 AM until the time of his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Drexler Scholarship Fund at Pius XI Catholic High School, 135 N. 76th Street Milwaukee WI 53213, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
