Jane passed away on January 12, 2022 at the age of 64. She is survived by her wife Joanne Sznaider and step sons Ian and Colin Sznaider. Further survived by her sister Patricia (Bill) Hartmann, brother Doug (Gail) Kostecki, sister in law Diane Drong, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Jane was preceded in death by her father Alvin Kostecki, mother Dolores Albrecht Kostecki, and brothers Mike and Jeff Kostecki.
Jane retired from Express Scripts, culminating a long career in the healthcare insurance industry.
Jane was happiest when the sun was shining on her face and she had a fishing pole in her hand. She and Joanne spent many summers at their cabin in northern Wisconsin fishing and floating on the lake. She also enjoyed traveling, crafting, attempting to play Sheepshead, hanging out with her friends, and working on her many household projects.
A special thank you to the staff, nurses and physicians at the Froedtert Menomonee Falls Cancer Center for their kind and compassionate care throughout her illness. Jane’s family also acknowledges the staff and physicians at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for their professional and attentive care during her final days. Special gratitude to her many friends and family who walked this journey with her by lending support, strength, and love during both happy and difficult times.
A celebration of her life will be held at Becker Ritter Funeral Home on Tuesday February 1, 2022 from 1 PM until the time of a brief memorial service at 3 PM. Light hors de oeuvres will be served prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Care Center at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital or to Women For Sobriety
