Jeffrey "Jeff" Burgess Coffin

Born April 17, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI, passed away September 30, 2018 at the age of 76 years. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his sisters, Darcy (Jan) Constable, Janice (Tom) Kruse and nephews Jeff (Paula) Constable and Tyler (Anne) Constable. He is also fondly remembered by many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Elliott Coffin.

Jeff, a US Air Force Veteran (1961-1965), was proud, kind, generous, fun loving, and could be stubbornly independent at times. His family was very important to him. He also loved sports of all kinds. In his free time he played softball and also coached girls’ softball. Football, however, was his favorite; both to play while in high school and to avidly follow later in life.

Our family would like to thank all of the staff of the 9th floor Palliative Care Unit as well as the 6th floor nursing staff of the Milwaukee VA Medical Center, who compassionately cared for Jeff as he fought to recover from cancer this year. He loved joking with the staff and they often brought out the best in him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Becker Ritter Funeral Home (14075 W North Ave, Brookfield, WI) from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Graveside services are to be held at 1:30 p.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Jeff supported a number of charities. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center or to a charity of your choice.
