Jo A. Ehlers

Passed away peacefully at Zilber Family Hospice on May 11th, 2018, at the age of 80. Loving Mother to Scott, Jamie (Brian) and Jackie (Steve.) Proud Grandma to Ashley and Hunter. Further survived by other relatives and friends. 

Jo grew up at Willow Tower in Sturtevant, WI. She was very close to her father,  (Jim Morford) who was Telegrapher for the Railroad. Jo worked for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad for many years, first as an Operator at the Racine Depot.  Later in her career, she dispatched train crews at the Butler Crew Callers Office. Following her Railroad career, she worked for US Bank in Milwaukee in the Credit Fraud Division until her retirement.

Some of her favorite hobbies included knitting and playing cards with family and friends. She especially loved her time with the grandkids. Jo was an avid reader and loved sharing her books with her friends and family. 

Jo’s Memorial Service will be held at Becker Ritter Funeral Home on Thursday, May 17th at 1:00 pm followed by a luncheon at Brookfield Congregational Church.  No visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jo can be made to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA).
