My heartfelt condolences to Ed, Margaret, Amy, and Brigid on your loss. You all were the best neighbors and friends during our childhood, and remained loyal friends as adults. The world lost a good person with the passing of your father; he will be missed by many. Be comforted in the knowledge he is now in the company of the Lord, his wife, and all his friends who went before him.

To the family of Dr. John Cordes:

I met Dr. Cordes as an incoming freshman at Alverno College while he was doing physicals. He impressed me as a thorough and professional physician. After my parents moved to Milwaukee in 1964, it wasn’t long before we all were accepted as Dr. Cordes’ patients when his office was located just east of South 60th Street on Oklahoma Avenue. We are forever grateful to Dr. Cordes who had seen us through our grandfather’s; our parents’; and some of our own health crises. We continued as his patients long after we were married as did our husbands; Dr. Cordes remained our “favorite family doctor” until his retirement.

Please accept my sincere condolences and prayers as you mourn the loss of Dr. Cordes.

Sweet Margaret, our hearts are in prayer for you and your family as you honor your family for the wonderful life he lived.

May you be comforted to know one day you will see him again and there will be no more parting.

God bless you!
