John Edmund Gavin

Passed away on May 29, 2023, at the age of 92. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Carolyn Gavin, his parents Everett Gavin and Evelyn Gavin, his siblings Betty Benning (Al), Dolores Slane (Ed), and survived by siblings Joan Pike (Jack), and Jane Sparacio, his sister-in-law Susan Grahovac (Peter), his children Jerry, Terry (Tom Fox), Jeff (Edgar Reina-Isaza), and Cathy, grandchildren Gavin Briscoe and Brittany Briscoe, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

After serving in the Army during the Korean War, John ascended the business world, becoming an intrepid entrepreneur, and served as President of El Dorado Graphics, KZG Rotoscans, and JC Media Group. In 1992, he was awarded New Berlin Business Person of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce. He also had an active presence at Holy Apostles Church, the West Allis Knights of Columbus where he served as President, and the Waukesha St. Vincent De Paul Society.

A Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Holy Apostles Church (16000 National Ave, New Berlin) at 12 PM, Visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
