Passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the age of 48. Beloved husband of Stephanie Ann (Blixt, Bowers) Krusas. Loving son of John (Laurie Pietruszka) and Mildred (Jordan) Krusas. Dear brother of Kathleen (Nino) Makota and Christopher (Jennifer) Krusas. Also loved by Stephanie’s children Lucas Turgeon and Logan (Amanda) Turgeon and granddaughter Elleanor (Ellie).
John was born in Arizona then family moved to Vermont and most of his life was spent in New Jersey. He attended Delbarton, the Catholic high school for young men then Arizona State University. Along with studies he was an avid hockey player.
He returned to New Jersey to work at the The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park for 20 years which he truly loved and enjoyed. John and Stephanie met on March 12th, 2017, in Whippany, NJ and were married on September 21st, 2019, at the Swan Club on the Harbor, Roslyn NY with an elegant wedding with close family and friends. They resided in Wayne, NJ.
They purchased a home and moved to Wisconsin in December 2020, to be close to their first granddaughter. To make their house a home they purchased his four-legged pride and joy, Anubis.
John lived life to the fullest, he enjoyed travelling, the ocean and the sun was what he loved. Working at the Ritz-Carlton, he was accustomed to the Gold Standard, Five Star Quality and anywhere he would go, it was expected and delivered to everyone he was with.
John could always lighten a mood, he could make a crowd laugh with his jokes, singing or dancing.
John loved his family/close friends with all his heart and would go above and beyond to take care of them, even if they didn’t think they needed it! He was kind, loving, caring and the most thoughtful person, he would sacrifice to make his loved ones happy. He was the most compassionate man, who took so much thought in making people happy.
John’s quotes: Sun, fun and get er done! Muchacho! Walk in like you own it!
A special thank you to Nicole, Tish, Ferdi, Dr Patel, Dr Hong and all the staff at Froedtert & The Medical College of WI transplant ICU for the kind and compassionate care they provided John and our family.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the future.
