Found peace on May 25, 2021, at the age of 88.
Joseph is reunited in heaven with his wife Norma, his parents Carl and Edith, his sisters Gloria Keehan and Carole DeMoss and his son-in-law Phillip House.
Joseph is survived by his children: Kathleen House, J. Peter (Connie) Gilsinger, James (Jane) Gilsinger, Gregory (Linda) Gilsinger, Susan (Steven) Lorenat, and David (Linda) Gilsinger. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Eric House, Jordan (Amanda) Gilsinger, Abigail (Matthew) Roadhouse, Taylor (Natalie) Gilsinger, Bennett Gilsinger and Amanda Gilsinger. Further survived by his brother in law Robert Zirbel, great-grandchildren and many loving relatives and friends.
After attending Beaver Dam High School, Joseph graduated in 1954 from Notre Dame University where he was a member of the track and field team. After graduating, he worked his entire career for Wisconsin Bell/AT&T before retiring in 1991. He enjoyed serving his community through the Brookfield Rotary Club. Joseph was an avid sailor and a member of the Milwaukee Yacht Club for over 40 years. He loved to be on the water either racing or day sailing with his patented packed lunch! Joseph will be remembered fondly and missed by all who knew him.
A private Mass of Christian burial will be held.
