Juanita Rose Turriff

Juanita Rose Turriff was born on December 27, 1924 to Ray and Louise Dionne in Pound, WI. She was a graduate of North Division High School in Milwaukee, WI.

She married James Turriff in 1946 and they moved to East Moline, IL. They were blessed with two sons – James and Michael. They moved to Oak Forest, IL on Christmas Eve 1959. In 1980 she retired to Lake Noquebay, Crivitz, WI.

She enjoyed working carious jobs, especially decorating model homes and becoming an assistant manager at WAGS (Walgreens Grill).

She loved being a homemaker and entertaining family and friends. She was the world’s best letter writer and housekeeper. She also enjoyed crafting and quilting. Most importantly she was a faithful Christian woman and mother who led by example and was active in her church.

She is survived by her son Rev. Michael (Lou Ann) Turriff, her daughter-in-law Debby Turriff, and her sister Joyce Niebuhr, and her brother-in-law Arthur Bugenhagen. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son James, he brother Ray Dionne, her sisters Naomi Bugenhagen and Joan (Norb) Puser, and brother-in-law Warren Niebuhr.

Jesus took her to his side in heaven on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the age of 95. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
