Judith L. Jansen (Nee Ewert)

Judi was peacefully called home to the Lord, surrounded by family, on Sunday, June 2nd at the age of 83. Judi was born in Milwaukee on July 21st, 1935 to Ruth and Clarence Ewert. She graduated from Wauwatosa High School in 1953 and went on to Mount Sinai and Ball State to become an X-Ray technician. On Aug 17, 1957 she married her high school sweetheart, Richard Jansen. They raised five children in Wauwatosa. The family enjoyed camping, boating, skiing, fishing and Judi loved to host and entertain all. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her sense of humor and teasing nature. There was a never dull moment when you were with Judi! She and her husband retired to Florida for the winters and enjoyed summers in Wisconsin at Pretty Lake. Judi enjoyed spending time with her many Florida friends and making memories in the summer with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was reunited in Heaven with her son Jim and her husband Richard, and siblings Jim Ewert and Mary Anne Rathgeber. She will be dearly missed by her brother Mark Ewert (Theresa), children Maribeth Mullen, Ellen Jansen, Jennifer Szews (Paul) and Rob Jansen. Grandchildren Emily Vebber (Lucas), Kelly Mullen (Mike Fealey), JP Szews, Christina Sladky (Sam), Molly Szews, Tommy Szews, Joe Szews, Peter Szews, Sam Szews, Jimmy Szews, Theresa Jansen, and Jarod Jansen. She was also blessed to have two great granddaughters, Bizzy and Maisy Vebber.

A Visitation will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 734 Glenview Ave. Wauwatosa, WI at 4:00pm on Friday, June 14th with Mass to follow at 5:00pm. A reception will be held in the Church Hall after Mass.

The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to her dear friend Maxine Charmoli for her many hours of prayer for Judi, and to the kind and loving staff from Kindred Hospice(Kim, Stephanie, Tasha, and Marion) In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
