Justin William Pegg, PO3, (SEAL)

Justin William Pegg, Petty Officer Third Class (SEAL) of Brookfield, WI passed away unexpectedly and found peace on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the age of 22.

 Born in Brookfield on December 8, 1995, Justin attended Brookfield Elementary and Wisconsin Hills Middle School before graduating from Brookfield Central High School with the class of 2014.  Justin briefly attended Montana State University in Bozeman, MT and following his first semester he decided to enlist in the Navy Delayed Entry Program in February of 2015. On January 22, 2016, Justin graduated basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois, and then completed Naval Special Warfare Preparatory School (NSW Prep) before shipping to Coronado, California where he began Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training. Justin finished BUD/S in October of 2016 as a member of BUD/S class 319.  It was at this point that Justin commenced SEAL Qualification Training (SQT). Justin graduated SQT on July 28, 2017 with class 320, earning his trident. Justin then moved from Coronado, CA to Virginia Beach, VA in August of 2017 where he joined Two Troop within SEAL Team 10. 

 Justin was very active throughout his life. He grew up playing football, hockey, and lacrosse; he continued with football and lacrosse up until he graduated high school. Justin also enjoyed an extreme passion for skiing and mountain biking, as well as dirt biking. Justin prided himself on being blue collar and using his hands. He worked many jobs when he was younger, his favorite of which was landscaping. He also wrenched on cars and was proficient in woodworking. Justin was a jack of all trades.

 Justin is survived by his loving parents Shannon Dannies of Brookfield and Anthony Pegg of Elkhorn, his sister Morgan Pegg and brother Austin Pegg of Brookfield, and his girlfriend Natalie Wininger of Bloomington, Indiana.  Further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

 Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31st at Brookfield Christian Reformed Church (14135 W. Burleigh Rd) from 4pm to 7pm.  Additional visitation will be held on Friday, June 1st at Brookfield Christian Reformed Church from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am.
