Lawrence "Larry" A. Brenner

January 8, 1935 ~ July 30, 2021 (age 86) 86 Years Old

Tribute

Age 86. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Larry was called home to the Lord on Friday, July 30th, 2021. He was born in Detroit in 1935 to the late Bearl and Marjorie Brenner. Larry was a devout Christian…a man of great faith and a member of St. Michael’s Anglican Church.

He loved boating, spending vacations with family and friends, visiting ports on Lake Michigan during the summers and creating beautiful stained-glass windows and tiffany lamps over the winters. Many of them were given to friends or left in homes they had. One of his joys in life was teaching others the craft.

After retiring, Larry and Carole traveled in their motor home experiencing life and meeting new people around the country and finding their winter home in Florida, where they lived for 20 years. He volunteered at the VA and Lee hospitals, as a sponsor with Junior Achievement and loved coaching and giving referrals and support for those looking for jobs. He worked in the paper industry for over 40 years, holding 8 patents, and was a partner in a local manufacturing firm.

Larry is survived by his wife Carole, son Jeffrey (Geraldine) Brenner, daughter Lauren (Joseph) Kelly, grandchildren Andrew (Melissa) Brenner, Steven (Anneliese) Brenner, Tasha (Brad) Barnes, Collin (Faith) Kelly, Cortney Kelly, McKenzie Kelly, his 8 great-grandchildren, sister Marjorie (Hal) Lamkin, brother Russell (Kimberly) Brenner, nephews Russell and Matthew Herschler, niece Susan (Andy) Assenmacher, and nephews David and Brian Lamkin.
