Leonard Adamitis

Adamitis, Leonard entered into Eternal Life on January 4, 2022 at the age of 79.  Loving Father of Andrea (Todd) Weickardt.  Grandfather of Caroline and Bradley Weickardt.  Brother to Leslie (Karen) Adamitis.  Predeceased by his Wife, Marilyn H. (Nee Havrda) Adamitis, his parents, brother and sister.  

Leonard grew up in Wilkes-Barre, PA.  A Graduate of Wilkes College.  He joined the United States Army Chemical Corps serving two tours of duty in Germany and Vietnam during the Vietnam War where he rose to the rank of Major.  He was proud to serve his Country.  Leonard worked many years as a Brewery Supervisor for Miller Brewing Company in Milwaukee.  Later in life he began creating art, entering pieces into the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival.  He won many awards, traveling around the country to compete with his wife Marilyn.  Leonard enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing.  He called himself an amateur archeologist and collected curious things well into his later years.  He could speak on many different subjects and enjoyed sharing his knowledge.  

A private prayer service will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Ceremony in Union Grove.  The family wishes to thank the staff at the Clement J Zablocki VA Center in Milwaukee.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Disabled American Veterans.
