Linda Winifred Shurla

(Nee Olson) Brookfield WI Reunited with her savior jesus on November 22nd, 2022 after an heroic battle with ALS.

Linda was born on March 21st, 1949 to Patricia (nee Sletterdahl) and David Olson in Minneapolis, MN.

She graduated from Custer High School class of 1967 and attended college at UWMilwaukee.

In 1968 she had her first son Eric but was sadly unable to care for him. Frank first met Linda teaching casting at the UWM Craft center in 1984 they crossed paths numerous times . In 1986 he finally ran into her at the Wright street Gallery owned by her brother Dean Olson.

 She met the love of her life at Wright Street Gallery.

Linda and Frank were married on Oct 15th, 1988 and went on to have 2 sons Ian & Avery.

She was reunited with her oldest son Eric Christensen in 2001.

She started making Jewelery for Lyn Bowen and vastly expanded her skills in order to eventually start her own business Bijoux Crafts Boutique.

Linda was an avid artist specializing in crochet, needlepoint, designing and sewing her own clothing since high school.

Linda loved to read, classic films, cinema noir and science fiction.

Linda loved to make pretty things to make people happy.

She was shy in person but behind her booth she found herself in her element making many friends and lifelong customers and fans of her art and warm charm.

Linda fought her ALS diagnosis with grace and strived with every breath refusing to relent and continued to live and plan for tomorrow.

Fighting every setback with extreme courage and giving us all a shining example of resilience in the face of adversity.

She was generous with her time, patience and love to everyone she met. Her warm smile and quirky sense of humor will be sorely missed by everyone she touched with her life.

Visitation at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53005, on Saturday, December 3, 2022 930AM-11AM. A celebration of Linda’s life at 11AM. Memorials appreciated to the ALS Association.
