Lorraine M Milanowski

Lorraine M. (Beck) Milanowski was born in Granville, WI (now part of Milwaukee) on August 11, 1932, and passed peacefully on January 10, 2023, after several years of declining health.

Lorraine was a devoted wife and mother who maintained a comfortable and welcoming home. She guided her family’s activities and values with a strong hand and a loving heart. Her advice was always thoughtful and compassionate. Lorraine was a long-term and active member of the Brookfield Lionettes and the Meadowview Garden Club, and proud author of “Holly the Lucky Little Kitten.” She enjoyed bowling in her younger days. Perhaps her greatest passion, outside of family, was as an avid collector and seller of antiques.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, John; son John (Patricia) Milanowski and daughter Judy Milanowski (John Wiedemann) ; son-in-law Bill Cardiff; grandchildren Jessica (John) Magnuson, Randy (Lori) Milanowski, and Sara Milanowski; great-grandchildren Vanessa, Hunter and Caden; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Cardiff; parents Ruth and Oliver Beck; brothers LeRoy and Oliver; and sisters Dolores, Viola and Elizabeth.

The family would like to thank Sara, her speech therapist and the entire Congregational Home staff for their diligent care; and Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital for the comfort provided by Emergency and the hospice team.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, in the Chapel of the Chimes at Wisconsin Memorial Park (13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI) at 9:30 a.m., with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude's or the charity of your choice.
