Marilyn Malloy left us today to enter into her new life with the Divine. A very peaceful
exit after 94 years here with all of us.
We are happy that she had such a long and eventful life that included all the joys and
sorrows that life is supposed to encompass. Our family gained many lessons from how
she lived. We are especially proud of her for never giving up hope for her oldest daughter.
Our sister Maureen struggled for most of her life with the battles that come with
addiction, mental health issues and the repercussions that affect family and friends.
Marilyn never gave up on her daughter.
Marilyn loved nature and art, and incorporated both into sketches, drawings and
multimedia pieces. Beachcombing for beautiful shells and hiking to find dry flowers with
which she would create beautiful table arrangements. During her middle aged years she
volunteered at church as a “ holy duster” to clean and prepare it for services and was
active in the Medical Society.
We would like to thank the staff at San Camillo for all the years of service in cleaning her
apartment, cooking many of her meals and socializing with Marilyn. We would also like
to thank the Hospice Team and her personal care team for their tenderness and
compassion keeping Marilyn comfortable during her final weeks. We can’t thank you
enough.
Marilyn is preceded in her new life by her husband Dr. Philip Malloy, her daughter
Maureen Malloy, her son-in-law Doug Davies and her sisters Annettte Gribble, Viola
Gueppe and Alice Gee.
Marilyn is survived by her children Michael Malloy (Mary), Barb Davies, and Brian
Malloy (Meg). She also had many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rest In
Peace Marilyn.
Services and burial will be private. We appreciate all the love and support.
