(Nee Anderson) Longtime resident of Elm Grove. Found eternal peace on April 8, 2017 at the age of 87. She was preceded by her cherished husband of 56 years Richard, son J.W., brother Bud Anderson and sister Alice Fox.

Mary Ellen is survived by her six loving children: Lisa Buellesbach, John (Melanie) Buellesbach, Monica (Kevin) Reynolds, Joe (Donna) Buellesbach, Paul (Anne) Buellesbach and Rick (Janine) Buellesbach. She is further survived by 23 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mary Ellen graduated from Holy Angels High School and Marquette University. She worked, married and experienced the usual joys and tribulation of raising six children. As she said: “Typical station-wagon mom and volunteer.” Mary Ellen was far from typical. She offered her time and talent extensively to St. Mary’s Visitation Parish, Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, Marquette High School, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Elm Grove Woman’s Club. In recognition of her service Mary Ellen received the Spirit of St. Ignatius award from Marquette High in 1997 and was named 2006 Jubilarian of the Year at Divine Savior Holy Angels.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Monday April 17, from 4:00-7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Visitation Church (1260 Church St., Elm Grove), on Tuesday at 10:30AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Divine Savior Holy Angels, St. Mary's Visitation Parish, Maryknoll Sisters or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
