Mary Jo (nee Hanauer) Powalisz

She was reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, Edward Joseph Powalisz, on May 9, 2023 at the age of 91. Gone before were her parents Jacob Hanauer and Adelia Francis (nee Leidgen) Hanauer, her sisters Dorothy Rose Hanauer, Virginia Mary Hanauer, and Dolores Caroline (Jack) Turunen. Survived by her much loved son John Edward Powalisz, her lovely daughter-in-law Alesandra Powalisz, her two step-grandchildren Gabriela Bezzera and Guilherme Elias. Mary Jo will be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.

A Gathering will be held on Thursday May 18, 2023 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 12801 W Fairmount Ave. Butler, WI, from 10 a.m. until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Private burial services will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Messmer High School or St. Agnes Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated.
